A recent hollywood and suburban trend is belts. Ladies across the globe have been seen wearing them, not as a way to keep their pants up. But to add a splash of color and pizazz to a plain dress, high waisted skirt, or blouse. They are no longer simple black and brown, skinny or thick. They are bold, stand out accessories fit to pair with any ensemble. Not to mention the fact that they have their own trends! From big metal buckles for a rock chic, to a shiny red leather strap to accentuate the hips of a curvy fashionista. And the possibilities don't end there, some stylish celebs have been seen wearing ribbons as a substitute. As well as many different vintage styles paired up with modern looks. Such as the Japanese style obi, the elasticated waist belt, or the cinch style made popular in the nineties. It seems that there is a style for every shape, size, and outfit. Making it clear that not only are belts here to stay, but that the ladies of the 21st century can't be without them!
